Brown Bear, Brown Bear Valentines for 3 Year Olds
My little Carolyn is now in preschool and gets to pass out Valentines to her class of fellow 3-year-olds and again at her music class too. I know candy would be the easy option, but I always like to do something non-food, that's why this year we are passing out mini puzzles based on the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?

Wild About You Toddler Valentines
This year I have two little ones to prepare Valentines for! My newest daughter Cassandra is only 6 months old and gets to participate in the ritual of passing out Valentines to her music class! I was inspired by a friend of Carolyn's who passed out little finger puppets at her first Valentine's Day, we still have the little piggy finger puppet and she still plays with it!

How to Make A Toddler Sized Mary Poppins White Dress Costume - The Easy Way
Did you know my darling daughter is obsessed with Mary Poppins? I believe the obsession is going on 10 months now, it was the first movie that she actually loved and requests to watch over and over, along with constantly listening to the sound track. For Halloween I dressed her up as Mary Poppins in her traveling outfit, you can see that adorableness here and there are links to how I made that costume for her.

Mother's Day Gift - Key Chain
Every Mother's Day I like to give the grand mothers a special gift from my daughter. Her first year I typed out a little poem and added her painted foot prints in the shape of a heart, last year I typed out I Love You with a clip art flower on some sturdy card stock and then let her water color to make it special (she was very into water coloring at the time). And this year my sweet husband realized that we could take a skill that she's good at, putting beads on a pipe cleaner and turn it into a special gift - enter the personalized key chain! This is a great last minute gift that you and your kids can make too!

Cheater Store Bought Thanksgiving Crafts
I love doing crafts with my daughter, but sometimes I tire of having to think up ideas, or find the perfect idea on Pinterest. So for the sake of just doing something fun I will impulse buy a craft at the store. I bought these two little Thanksgiving craft kits at the craft store thinking they would be fun and easy, one was, the other wasn't. Can you guess which is which?

How to Make a Mary Poppins' Hat and Bird Umbrella
Have you checked out the price of costume props? Eeke! Why buy what you can easily make? All you need is some creativity and a glue gun! Check out how I easily made the Mary Poppins' bird umbrella and her iconic daisy boater hat out of felt.
Mary Poppins Costume
You could buy a Mary Poppins costume, but where's the fun in that? I made Carolyn's adorable little costume for less than $20 and the best part is that most of it she can wear again.

New Fall Wreath
I can't wait for fall to come any longer, it's been a great summer but I'm totally over this HOT weather. So I'm going to imagine that it's cooling down here and start decorating my house for fall. Maybe I can trick myself into feeling like it's getting cooler. Hehehe. In part of my excitement for fall I decided to make a new front door wreath times two, because we have double front doors.

How to Make a Poodle Skirt
Back when I was still teaching my kindergarten coworkers were preparing for the annual Christmas performance when they realized their poodle skirts were MIA! I volunteered to help them quickly pull some together. Lucky for me they had the perfect red skirts left over from their Cinco De Mayo celebration the year before. All they needed were the cute little white dogs!

How to Make a Hair Bow Hanger
I think I'm not alone in saying little girls have A LOT of BOWS! I finally decided it was time to pack up her infant head bands, and boy did Carolyn have a lot of those! Now we've moved on to the little hair bow clippies and because I have a feeling she'll be wearing these for a long time I decided it was time to get organized. So with a little help from my husband (he's my master spray painter) we made her this cute hair bow hanger.

Creating a Garden for Grandma
For Mother's Day I wanted to create something special for my Grandma. She means so much to me and I wanted her to feel cherished. I started describing to Ben my intentions of creating something small that could fit in her little apartment, but something that would be meaningful. He came up with the great idea of making a miniature garden! And here it is!

Faux Strawberries
The strawberries are beginning to ripen, but we're not the only one noticing! The bird have been noticing too and having themselves a tasty little snack! Well this wouldn't do so we needed a solution, some faux strawberries to trick those birdies.

Jungle Table Setting
This awesome table setting was a combination of efforts between my friend Jen and myself. Together I think we totally rocked it the look we were going for - Lion King in the Jungle!

How to Make Paper Medallions
Another craft that I made for the Lion King Baby Shower were these paper medallions. The great thing about them is that they work for any theme, just choose the paper to go with your party!

How to Make a Paper Leaf Banner
One of the first decorations for the party that Ben and I made for the Lion King Baby Shower was this leaf banner. It was super easy to do and was fun to have a a custom sign.

How to Make Crepe Paper Jungle Vines
For the Lion King Baby Shower I decided to lean more towards the Hakuna Matata part of the movie and go jungle = Jungle Vines were needed! These would be great for other jungle themed parties such as Tarzan, explorer, etc.

Missing Photos
I apologize for a lot of missing pictures, especially in older posts. I was using PhotoBucket to host my pictures, but they've changed their rules and no longer allow links to them.
I will be re-uploading the pictures, but it may take some time...
