Thanksgiving Table Decor and Friendsgiving 2018

Every year I hold a small Friendsgiving potluck with my friends. We love the special time to get together and catch-up. I also love an excuse to set up a pretty table. This year I let Carolyn help me with the table decor.

Cottage Fall Decor Tour

Hooray on the calendar it says it's officially fall, now people won't mind that the wind blew in a little fall decor into my house! Who am I kidding, it's more than just a little and I've totally had it up since Labor Day weekend, to me the start of September is close enough of an excuse to decorate for fall. New Fall Wreath

I can't wait for fall to come any longer, it's been a great summer but I'm totally over this HOT weather. So I'm going to imagine that it's cooling down here and start decorating my house for fall. Maybe I can trick myself into feeling like it's getting cooler. Hehehe. In part of my excitement for fall I decided to make a new front door wreath times two, because we have double front doors.

Our Family Thanksgivings and a Special Birthday 2014

This was a very special Thanksgiving for my family this year.  My Grandfather turned 90 years old the day before, so we threw him a big party with the whole family.

Hi Everyone,

It's beginning to look like fall around Southern California and I wanted to stop by and wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!  We'll be spending time with both of our families.  First stop is my side where we'll also be celebrating my grandfather's 90th birthday, wowzers 90 years is a lot of years!  He's a great man and I'm so blessed to have him in my life!  Then we'll be off to visit Ben's mom and brothers!  On Tuesday we had our annual Friendsgiving with my yarn group - we made almost the whole meal vegan!  I feel so blessed to have such awesome friends in my life.  Hope you have a great day no matter where you go, may you find love and joy in those around you!

Thanksgiving 2013

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Ben's side of the family at Grandma and Grandpa's house! We began the six hour journey north and were greeted by a beautiful sight from the Lord; a gorgeous sunrise over the treetops!

Although I did not host Thanksgiving this year, I did host a very special Friendsgiving for my Tuesday night yarn friends!

Our Family Thanksgiving

Our family Thanksgiving celebration this year was a small intimate one at our house.  This was my first time hosting a family holiday and I was super excited!  It went off without a hitch either!  My grandparents, parents and brother came over and we ate an early dinner.

Fall Decorations
