Trafalgar Day 2018

This past Sunday we celebrated the British victory at the battle of Trafalgar. We had a wonderful picnic celebration in honor of Admiral Nelson. Please enjoy my photographic storytelling of the event.

This was Carolyn's 3rd time attending, and the 7th year for the event. She greatly enjoyed herself wandering around looking at all the plants.

The first thing we do upon arrival is have a delicious picnic. This year I was a terrible picnic hostess because of having house guests all week I was unable to shop and put it off till after they left. Conveniently Carolyn got sick and I had to stay home and tend to her while Ben recovered all four of our blue stools with new fabric - after 8 years of serious use they were giving out. Needless to say our picnic consisted of what was left in the fridge and pantry.

Everyone thoroughly enjoys taking it easy at this event.

Carolyn was delighted that I let her drink water from real tea cups!

The next portion of our afternoon was dancing, my favorite part! It was wonderful to have so many people interested in dancing this year, the most yet!

After dancing Ben opened up the archery range for all who were interested. He's the official range master since he actually has been ranked as a yeoman and used to run the archery range at a summer camp.

Many people also enjoy spectating.

And then Carolyn received private lessons!

Ben also started an archers society, our friend Emily was the first to make her society green spencer!

The obligatory family photo. :)

Ben's brother Tim joined us this year and had a great time.

Carolyn made friends with this charming little statue.

And that wraps up another wonderful picnic.

Missing Photos

I apologize for a lot of missing pictures, especially in older posts. I was using PhotoBucket to host my pictures, but they've changed their rules and no longer allow links to them.
I will be re-uploading the pictures, but it may take some time...
