Visit to the Air Show at March Air Force Base

Ben has been itching to take Carolyn to an air show since its obvious that she shares his love of air planes. Last weekend we had a wonderful time visiting March Air Force Base for their annual air show.  We were so happy that some friends and their family could come too!

It was a great show with so much to see. One of the great things about this air show is that it's free! Woohoo!

Ben was super excited to see this B17!

He gave Carolyn a tour of bomb bay.

CJ and Carolyn decided that they wanted to ride in the same wagon together.

We made Carolyn a custom shirt for the day, which she is now obsessed with!

One of the first flights we saw was a Stearman biplane performing aerobatics. Ben was especially excited to watch this one as it was the same make as the plane he flew on his birthday. You can read all about that adventure here.

Later there was a Korean War dogfight demonstration with an aerial chase between a F-86 Saber and its Russian counterpart, the MiG 15. These silver jets danced very close to each other at high speed.

We got to got aboard the Douglas N341A.

Those in-flight magazines are so interesting. But watch out, when we got home we discovered a tremendous bill from SkyMall!

Although only a ground display, the Curtis Jenny was beautiful to look at. We loved that they brought a classic automobile too.

Here's our whole gang!

Much fun was had by all, we hope this can become a yearly tradition!

Missing Photos

I apologize for a lot of missing pictures, especially in older posts. I was using PhotoBucket to host my pictures, but they've changed their rules and no longer allow links to them.
I will be re-uploading the pictures, but it may take some time...
