I want to pass out a non-candy goody for the kids so this year I chose bubbles! Then I designed this simple little tag that I could tie to the top of the bubble wand, I love that the tag won't fall off while my daughter passes them out.

Valentines Day Bubble Gift
I'm so excited to get to make little valentines for my daughter to pass out to her friends in her classes. We actually get to pass them out twice, once in her pre-preschool class and again in her music class. And seeing as she's my first child I get to do this for I'm over the moon delighted, I'm sure one day the novelty will wear off. But for now I'm all about that crafting!

Christmas at the Cottage - Christmas Home Tour 2018
I'm so excited that we have an extra week to celebrate Christmas this year! There's nothing like the cozy feeling you get with all the twinkle lights glowing along with a crackling fire. Last night Carolyn and I snuggled up with blankets and pillows in front of the fire place and read Christmas stories. Oh these are the best memories, and I will cherish them for as long as I live.

Cottage Fall Decor Tour
Hooray on the calendar it says it's officially fall, now people won't mind that the wind blew in a little fall decor into my house! Easter Celebration 2018
For me the Easter celebration actually starts the week before on Palm Sunday. When I was a child I would proudly proclaim that I liked Palm Sunday better than Easter. It's a day to celebrate the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem. People were so excited for him to come they waved palm branches and laid their cloaks down on the road for his processional. I loved parading around the church waiving the palm branch, yelling hosanna! I was so excited that Carolyn was able to partake in the tradition this year too!

Halloween 2017
We began discussing Carolyn's Halloween costume right after last year, but didn't finally decide what to do until after Ben's big flying adventure. Carolyn has become enthralled with airplanes; pointing to them in the sky, making motor noises and playing with her Little People plane in the house.
That settled it, she NEEDED to be Amelia Earhart! Which left Ben and I to figure out how to dress to match. Ben decided to be her mechanic and I would be a reporter asking for an interview.

Valentine's Day 2014
Ben and I are not big Valentine's Day people, we really do not want to encourage the consumerism that is so trendy. I actually taught at a local high school this year on the big V-day holiday and it was rediculous the amount of stuff those girls were carrying around! One girl even recieved a dosen red roses in a beautiful vase right in the middle of class, I can't believe the school even allowed this! Just think about all the money those boys are spending! Eeek!
Anyways, back to Ben and I and how we like to do things differently! We still like to show our love for one another, that's why we always have a nice dinner in. This year Ben cooked up a wonderful meal and set a beautiful table out on the patio!
