Anza 2018

Typically our Anza reenactment is held in the spring, but due to some health issues that our host was having we had to delay. Happily he is doing much better and invited us all up for some fun this last weekend.

As you can tell camp was not very large this year. Our tent would have been set-up too, so that would have made a grand total of two tents, but unfortunately it slipped our minds to ask the dog sitter if she was available. So we decided to come home, since it is only an 1.5 hour drive.

Ben was super excited to bring two of our Marines boys to join us this year, Andres and Leo's first time wearing green!

I had fun following them up the hill for part of the battle, enjoy the pictures.

Here's a group shot of all the boys when went out playing soldier + 1 adorable little girl.

She enjoyed pointing to lead the charge!

The British forces.

This is the only photo of me all day, but hey it proves I was there!

This Daddy just LOVES his little girl!

The boys took a break from fighting to enjoy some yummy lunch.

Carolyn was not so keen to share her tiny table!

She was gifted this beautiful table last year by our friend Lee. This year his wife gave her the child sized porcelain tea set, she was in heaven!!!

Now for some lovely photos of my friends!

At the end of the day we saw this column of men marching in, we wondered what they were up to.

They marched themselves over to Lee's house and gave him 3 cheers! He's such a wonderful man, we all just love him to bits! And to think, he bought this property just so others could come up and play on it!

Then it was time for the flag lowering ceremony.

We decided to take some last few photos of the boys in green.

I love that I caught the flash of the rifle in this picture!

Another fabulous day in Anza.

Missing Photos

I apologize for a lot of missing pictures, especially in older posts. I was using PhotoBucket to host my pictures, but they've changed their rules and no longer allow links to them.
I will be re-uploading the pictures, but it may take some time...
